The JProfiler plugin doesnt write its own log file. The current plugin version for IDEA 5 is 2.1. Therefore the JProfiler 4 distribution doesnt contain the plugin for IDEA 5 yet. for remote connect to jprofiler you can following this steps: download linux version of jprofiler.
